You can share internet access with your friends using only your computer as main access point...without using long procedure to set ad hoc. A wireless ad hoc network is a decentralized type of wireless network.[1] The network is ad hoc because it does not rely on a preexisting infrastructure, such as routers in wired networks or access points in managed (infrastructure) wireless networks.
Follow the following proceudres
- Download and install Connectify.
- Run Connectify.
- Click the Connectify icon at the system tray.
- Give the network a name and a password.
- Under the Internet dropdown box, select your 3G connection (it works for wireless connection and LAN connection as well).

Thank you Mr O.Mwambe, that network set up how many hosts can be linked at time, what about speed in case of overload, what about distance does this operate as home network? I am very interested please explain more.

Mobile Ad Hoc Networks are collections of mobile hosts dynamically establishing short lived networks in
the absence of fixed infrastructure. These mobile hosts are connected by wireless links and act as routers for
all other hosts in the network. Hosts in a Mobile Ad Hoc Networks are free to move and organize themselves
in an arbitrary manner.Mobility of the hosts creates a dynamic network topology. Then topology management plays a key role in the performance of a routing protocol. Because the wrong topology information can considerably reduce the capacity, increase the end-to-end delay and routing control overhead, and increase the possibility of host failure.
Wireless media is fairly unpredictable and packet collision is intrinsic to wireless network. Signal propagation face difficulties such as signal fading, interference and path cancellation.
